REFLEKSI CONFLICT OF INTEREST DAN KAITANNYA KORUPSI POLITIK PADA PEMILU SERENTAK 2024

Abstrak

Pelaksanaan pemilu 2024 tidak luput dari conflict of interest dan korup- si politik yang dilakukan oleh penyelenggara negara sehingga menceder- ai pemilu berintegritas. Kajian ini bertujuan mendiskusikan faktor-faktor penyebab conflict of interest dan korupsi politik dalam pemilu dan ber- tujuan mendesksripsikan pencegahan dan pertanggungjawaban praktik conflict of interest dan korupsi politik dalam pemilu. Hasil kajian menun- jukkan: pertama, faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya praktik conflict of in- terest dan korupsi politik pada pemilu 2024 di antaranya faktor penega- kan hukum yang belum memadai dan lemahnya etika publik penyelenggara negara sehingga tidak mencerminkan kepentingan publik. Kedua, pencega- han conflict of interest dan korupsi politik dapat dilakukan dengan mem- perbaiki kerangka hukum pemilu dan perbaikan kode etik penyelenggara negara secara luas. Adapun pertanggungjawaban dapat dilakukan melalui pertanggungjawaban secara hukum melalui penegakan norma hukum ad- ministrasi dan etik dan juga dapat dipertanggungjawabkan secara politis melalui checks and balances oleh parlemen terhadap praktik conflict of in- terest dan dugaan korupsi politik yang dilakukan eksekutif dalam pemilu.
