Author Guidelines

Jurnal Etika dan Pemilu welcomes original research articles, case studies, and policy analyses that contribute to the discourse on election ethics, democratic integrity, and governance.

1. General Requirements

  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not currently under consideration by another journal.

  • Language: Manuscripts may be submitted in Indonesian or English.

  • Focus: Submissions must align with the journal’s [Focus & Scope].

  • Ethics: Authors must ensure that all research involving human subjects or sensitive political data adheres to established ethical research standards.

2. Manuscript Structure

Please organize your manuscript in the following sequence:

  • Title: Concise and descriptive.

  • Author(s) Information: Include names, affiliations, and email addresses.

  • Abstract: A single paragraph (150–250 words) summarizing the background, objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusion.

  • Keywords: 3–5 terms that represent the article's core subjects.

  • Introduction: Context, research problem, and objective.

  • Methodology: Description of the research design, data sources, and analytical framework.

  • Results and Discussion: Presentation of findings and critical analysis.

  • Conclusion: Summary of findings and implications for policy or practice.

  • References: List of all cited works, formatted according to the APA Style (7th Edition).

3. Formatting Specifications

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt.

  • Spacing: 1.5 line spacing.

  • Margins: Standard A4 page size with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.

  • Citations: Use an automated reference management tool (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote) to ensure consistent citation formatting.

4. Submission Process

  1. Online Submission: All manuscripts must be submitted via the [Journal Online Submission Portal].

  2. Cover Letter: Include a brief cover letter stating the significance of the research to the field of election ethics.

  3. Peer Review: Every manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer review process. Authors will receive feedback from reviewers regarding content, methodology, and clarity.

5. Publication Ethics

The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened using anti-plagiarism software. Authors are expected to disclose any potential Conflict of Interest related to their research.

6. Article Processing Charges (APC)

Jurnal Etika dan Pemilu does not charge submission or publication fees.
